HEALING HEALTH AND WHOLENESS FOR GOD’S PECULIAR PEOPLE
Proverbs 4:20-22.
“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” (Proverbs 4:20-22).
- THE CONDITION OF HEALING PLAGUED PEOPLE FROM TERRIBLE DISEASES
Deuteronomy 7:12-15.
“Wherefore it shall come to pass, if ye hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD thy God shall keep unto thee the covenant and the mercy which he sware unto thy fathers:” (Deuteronomy 7:12). “And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate thee.” (Deuteronomy 7:15). God has promised to take away all sicknesses from you, such as cancer, blindness, deafness, mental problems and emotional disturbances.
(i) The Cause of Hurts and Terrible Diseases – Numbers 21:4-7; John 5:5-9, 14. When God created Adam and Eve, they were free from sickness because He made them in His own likeness. Sickness entered the world when sin entered the world, but God gave a covenant promise to the children of Israel that He would take sickness away from them. “And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.” (Numbers 21:4). There are times when we get discouraged and tired, which is not a sin in itself, but man tends to use the part of their body that is not tired in a way that worsens the problem.
We should pay particular attention to ensuring that we don’t use our tongue wrongly during times of discouragement and tiredness. “And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.” (Numbers 21:5-7).
The children of Israel brought death nearer with their tongues. Discouragement has a way of shutting off the brain and allowing the tongue to speak without thinking. The serpents had been in the wilderness, but God held them back from reaching the children of Israel; however, when they pronounced death upon themselves, God sent the serpents their way. You have power and authority over the serpents, sicknesses, and Satanic subjections in the wilderness of life. When the children of Israel realised their sin, they came to Moses to pray for them, and Moses did not bear any grudge against them. A man of prayer must never be a man who bears grudges. You will pray, and God will answer your prayers in Jesus’ Name.
(ii) The Cases of Humbling and Tormenting Diseases – 2 Chronicles 26:16-20; 1 Corinthians 11:27-30. “But when he was strong, his heart was lifted up to his destruction: for he transgressed against the LORD his God, and went into the temple of the LORD to burn incense upon the altar of incense.” (2 Chronicles 26:16). Many strong people forget the essential things in life. We need to pray that, as God keeps us strong, the strength does not make us forget our boundaries and territory. Strength can be dangerous for people who are not watchful. “And Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him fourscore priests of the LORD, that were valiant men:” (2 Chronicles 26:17). The priests of the Lord, the princes of the congregation and the people charged with the work of the Lord must be valiant men, not those who are crushed or downtrodden. “And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou hast trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God.” (2 Chronicles 26:18).
We need to be careful not to allow any trespasser to cloud our vision of the holiness of God. It was in the year that King Uzziah died that God gave Isaiah a revelation of His holiness. When we speak to trespassers, we must do so with courage, as the priests who withstood Uzziah did. “Then Uzziah was wroth, and had a censer in his hand to burn incense: and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy even rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, from beside the incense altar. And Azariah the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from thence; yea, himself hasted also to go out, because the LORD had smitten him.” (2 Chronicles 26:19-20). Unsaved people, uncircumcised hearts, and the unsanctified detest correction, so instead of yielding, they get angry. As Spurgeon said, anger is short madness. When people are angry, they become so mad that they act irrationally. This is an example of people who bring sickness upon themselves.
(iii) The Condition of Healing from Typical Diseases – Isaiah 57:15-18; James 5:14-16. “For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart. I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.” (Isaiah 57:15-18). We are lowly, and God is lofty; we must never confuse the two. God has promised to heal those who repent of their evil ways and turn to Him.
- THE COVENANT OF HEALING/HEALTH FOR PURCHASED PEOPLE, WITH TIMELY DELIVERANCE
Exodus 23:25, 32-33.
God is never late; He will not be late in your life, but He will grant you timely healing and deliverance in Jesus’ Name. “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” (Exodus 23:25). God will heal you, and when this promise passes through you to the people you minister to, God will heal them as well. There is healing and health in heaven, while there is sickness and deformity on earth. When heaven is connected with earth, the healing from heaven will come down to earth, and the diseases on earth will vanish. If we can connect the health, health, and wholeness in heaven with every sick person on earth, there will be healing, health, and wellness. You are the ‘pipe’ that connects the healing from heaven to the people on earth because the promise, provision, and power to heal come through you. Healing will flow through you in Jesus’ Name.
(i) Marvellous Healing/Health Under the Old Covenant – Psalm 105 37-38; 2 Kings 20:1-6. “He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.” (Psalms 105:37-38). God will provide silver and gold for the ministry He has entrusted to your hands, and there will be no feeble person in our states, nations and countries. God will use you as a pipeline to bring healing and health to all His people in Jesus’ Name.
(ii) Manifold Healing/Health Under the New Covenant – Mark 2:5, 9-12; Acts 10:38. Christ was a perfect channel of the healing, health and wholeness available in heaven because He was unblocked and unstoppable. You will become as full and free of disbelief and doubt as Jesus. God did not create any believer to be a doubting Thomas but to be a believing and triumphant disciple. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38). You will be like Jesus; wherever you go, you will do good and speak good to the people. Those who are to transmit healing to others must be in good health themselves. Since God is in you and with you, the Healer and Deliverer is with you. The Christ Who dwells in you does the work by His power in you.
(iii) Miraculous Healing/Health Under the Better Covenant – Acts 5:14-16; 8:5- 8. “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.” (Acts 8:5-8). Preach Christ as the only message; He is our Saviour, Sanctifier, Baptiser in the Holy Ghost, and the One we await His return. You are the Philip of today; victory, triumph, and success are your birthright. You will go out and do exploits, and the hidden star within you will come out and shine in Jesus’ Name. Joy will follow you and your ministry in Jesus’ Name. There will be salvation and deliverance through your ministry in Jesus’ Name.
