Introduction

Talking About the Past (Hier / Autrefois)

We use:

• Avant / Autrefois

• Il y avait

• Il n’y avait pas

Examples:

• Autrefois, il y avait peu de voitures.

Talking About the Present (Aujourd’hui)

We use:

• Aujourd’hui

• Il y a

• On utilise

Examples:

• Aujourd’hui, il y a beaucoup de voitures.

• Aujourd’hui, on utilise l’internet.
