1. Descent means the act of going down from top to bottom. Here, in the case of this study. We see Israel used to worship the heavenly God who brought them out of bondage. But these forsake this heavenly and begin to worship an earthly god by bowing unto it.
2. Idolatry: Image worship or divine honor paid to any created object.
3. Design: To delineate a form or figure by drawing the outline; to sketch; as in painting and other works of art.
4. Adoration: The acts and postures by which the Hebrews expressed adoration bear a great similarity to those still in use among Oriental nations
5. Disaster: Misfortune; mishap; calamity; any unfortunate event, especially a sudden misfortune; as we met with many disasters on the road.
