MOVING UP FROM MEDIOCRITY TO MASTERY BY A MIRACLE

TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 9:24-27; 2 TIMOTHY 2:5,7.

We are to run with the right knowledge, we are to run with the right goal and with the right destination in front of us. Run, don’t just walk as if you’re in leisure. But So run, take up this challenge of Paul the apostle and understand that, life is a race, education is a race, developing a good personality is a race; everything about our lives, the charisma we have, we have them so they will help us to run the race of life. We have a different destination we are heading to because of what we decide to do with our lives. You cannot run with your neighbour’s legs; you have to stand by yourself. There are people that do not strive for mastery, they do not strive for their own goal, and they do not strive for their own desire, they do not nourish their goal, but when you have wisdom, anything that is dull or dormant in you will wake up tonight. There should be moderation and control in your doing. Your subdue that will not help you, you will put aside. You must be temperate in all things, your life will be incorruptible and your destiny will be incorruptible, you will be unstoppable, you have a chance and the calling to run and nobody can stand in your way. If anybody could have stood in the way of Joseph, he was destined for greatness and Potiphar’s wife couldn’t stop him. Nebuchadnezzar could have stopped Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, but he couldn’t, and the fire couldn’t stop them. If anybody could have stopped Elijah, Ahab and Jezebel could not stopped him, he was unstoppable. You are unstoppable master in any profession that God has called you into. Pharisees could have stopped Peter and John, but they couldn’t stopped them. That same God that helped them is still alive, nobody will stop you, circumstances will not stop you and when God says yes nobody can say no. What we have in life doesn’t only depend on what we hear, but what we do with what we hear.

▶The paralysis of mediocrity. Mediocrity paralyze our lives, our intentions and it makes us paralyzed deadly when we should rise and run.

▶ The prodigals reduced to mediocre.

▶ The purpose of your Maker.

▶ Passion for upward movement. You have a goal; you have a destiny and you have to make everything within you to cooperate and you will have determination and you will be convinced that you know the purpose of God for your life.

▶ The process of mending all your past years that you have wasted. You will know the basis and you will build on something. You are not going to be a mediocre.

▶ The constant, continuous, confidence, pursuit of mastery.

POINT 1: THE MEANINGLESS FOOLISHNESS OF THOUGHTLESS MEDIOCRE.

PROVERBS 24:9-10,21-22; 1 SAMUEL 26:21.

If you are a failure, let something to jolt you, if something didn’t alert you, how will you get up? But the mediocre is thoughtless, he doesn’t think of his action. The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men. 

The people that are not right to do something are thoughtless. The word of God says, If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. Adversity comes for everyone, but you must understand that you are successful, and you are not fainting because of raining season, because of the weather, in this adversity you will advance, you will be an achiever, you will not be complaining about the rain or about the environment. Your complaining will not change anything, you will not be running here and there, stay where you are and be an achiever and the Lord will make you a conqueror, you will be found stable and steadfast in that which the Lord has placed upon your shoulder, stay there, that is where your success will be.

POINT 2: THE MIGHTY FORCE OF THOUGHTFUL MEDITATION.

Joshua 1:7-8; Psalms 1:1-3; 1 Timothy 4:15.

You will mention your name to yourself that you are not going to remain a parasite depending on other people. You will say to yourself you’re not going to be a Mediocre that will not be able to help himself and do things for himself. You will meditate and a mighty force will come from on high and change you from where you are to where you ought to be. If you’re running through life and you’re not thinking, life will be meaningless to you. Meditate, ask yourself about how your life goes on, if you go on the way you used to be, where will you be at the end of the day? The morning is the most reproductive time, if you squander that morning and that opportunity, if you squander everything, where will you be at the end of the day? You meditate on the promises of God, you meditate on what your action will be on those promises of God. Success of every person depends on what he does. You will succeed where you are, you don’t have to travel to another country before you can change, if you have a bad habit and bad attitude here in Nigeria, that’s why you are not making it, and if you don’t change that bad attitude, that bad attitude doesn’t get you anywhere, if you have a disposition of pulling down everything and you travel to another country, if you carry that same attitude to new country, that new country will not change your circumstances, the same experience you have here is what you’re going to have there. As computer cannot fix in by inside of itself, what you fix in is what it projects, when you take manual and you fix it to it then it works. You may have the most expensive computer but if you don’t have that manual to fix in, it will not work. So also the word of God is a manual given us to make a very best in our lives. Open that bible, that is the manual, don’t make it depart from your life, it directs you every day and it directs you to success. Many people think more about enemies, they meditates more about people injuring them, they meditate on problems more than the word of God, and when you concentrate your life on problems and you’re not thinking about the poison, it will affect your life. And if you’re going to succeed in life, meditate on the word of God, don’t allow the bad news to control you. If anybody is going to think about your prospect, it’s yourself. But if you’re thinking about bad things, you will attract yourself with bad things. Think about the possibilities you have in God and good things will happen in your life.

POINT 3: THE MARVELOUS FAITH FOR THOROUGH MASTERY.

MARK 9:23; PHILIPPIANS 4:13,19; 1 JOHN 5:4,11-12.

I pray, people will make a reference point in your life in Jesus Name. You will master every difficulty in your life, you will master every challenge in your life. The past is gone, the present is going to be transformed, the future is going to be triumphant. You will not remain as you away be, you’re in the platform of faith and that faith will turn everything around in your life. Begin to think about life, it’s possible and it’s achievable

Your problem is solvable, your circumstance is conquerable, you’re going to be what God created you to be. It’s just a matter of staying where you are and thoughtful, with faith all things are possible. You will rise, all those things they said it cannot be, today is a turning point in your life, if you can believe, all things are possible, you are forgiven and if your chain of bad habit is so strong and you cannot break it, tonight if you can believe, He will set you free. If failure is in your system, if you can get out of that failure and you succeed in life, failure will be the thing of the past. That giant in you will rise up in you, and impossibilities will become possibilities in your life in Jesus Name Amen.
