Prayer Of Faith For Full Salvation And Total Healing
“Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.” (Jeremiah 17:14). There is a connection between healing and salvation. We ask for salvation and healing from the Lord who can do all things and will not drive anyone away when they ask for His salvation. The Prophet Jeremiah prayed in faith and full assurance, acknowledging God as the Source of healing. If you believe and affirm that God is your Saviour and Healer, you will definitely be saved and healed. You will receive full salvation and total healing as you pray in faith. “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:15-16). Christ’s death on the Cross assures us of salvation, and by the stripes of Christ, we are healed from all infirmities. Don’t put an impossibility on your condition. As you accept and believe that the prayer of faith will avail for you, the Lord will surprise you with a miracle.
1. ACCEPTING THE BENEFITS JOINED TOGETHER BY GOD
Psalm 103:1-3; Isaiah 53:4-6; Matthew 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24-25
God has joined together salvation and healing, freedom and forgiveness, and because they are co-joined, you can ask for one and get the other. There are people who believe in salvation but not in healing, or vice versa but “what God has joined together, let no man put asunder.” “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases. (Psalm 103:1-3). We should not forget all the benefits God has promised us and provided through the death of Christ on Calvary. Forgiveness and healing are joined in the provision God made for us through the sacrifice of Jesus. “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:4-6). Christ was smitten of God and afflicted on our behalf so that there wouldn’t be smiting and afflictions in our lives. We earn, merit and deserve affliction but Christ has substituted for us and taken our afflictions. “When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:16-17). Christ didn’t have to touch the people one by one but He cast out their sicknesses and diseases with His word. As the messengers of God send His word from the Holy Bible to you, you will receive His healing and deliverance. Christ has not changed, and His word has not changed because “heaven and earth shall pass away but [His] words will never pass away.” “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” (1 Peter 2:24-25). We have salvation and healing because of the substitutionary sacrifice of God’s Son. As you come to Christ, salvation will be given to you and healing will be your portion.
2. ASKING FOR BLESSINGS JOINED TOGETHER IN HIS GOODNESS
Jeremiah 17:14; Mark 2:2-5,9-12; Acts 10:38; 1 Timothy 2:3-4
We can ask and receive the twin blessings of salvation and healing but we must ask definitely. “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.” (Jeremiah 17:14). If you count yourself impossible to be healed, you will not get the healing. You have to ask before you get it. No matter what power you have, or how religious you are, you cannot save yourself from sin, and no man is able to deliver himself from the power, guilt and grip of sin. You will never be able to save yourself from sin and get ready for heaven by your own self. You are powerless but He is powerful, it is impossible with you but all things are possible with God and no sacrifice can save you apart from the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. “When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.” (Mark 2:5,9-12). The men who brought the impotent man to Christ had love, help, friendliness and hope for their friend but Jesus did not commend other virtues in that instant but their faith. We are saved and healed by faith and faith alone. It is faith in Christ, not confidence in human works and virtues, that saves us. The impotent man was healed by the word of Christ. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38). Healing is of His goodness, not of your effort, power or determination. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2:3-4).
3. ACKNOWLEDGING, BELIEVING AS JOINED TOGETHER BY HIS GRACE
Luke 1:45-47; Acts 27:25; 2 Corinthians 4:13; Isaiah 33:14-17,24
“And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord. And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.” (Luke 1:45-47). The people who believe and acknowledge God’s promises will be blessed. The evidence of believing is to hear, accept, and act on the promises of God joyfully. “Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.” (Acts 27:25). “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” (2 Corinthians 4:13). We need to declare what the Lord has spoken already concerning us. “And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.” (Isaiah 33:24). The people who come before Him in prayer shall not say “I am sick.” You will receive full salvation and total healing instantaneously as you ask in faith.
