God has everything you need, and you can receive what He has provided through the gospel. “The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.” (Mark 1:1). What Christ did when He was on earth was the beginning of the gospel. He opened blind eyes, forgave sinners, made the lame to walk, cured people with withered hands, stopped the issue of blood by a touch of His garment, and delivered people who were tormented by demons and evil spirits. If you shut your mouth when you should be asking for a touch from the Lord, you won’t receive the benefits of the gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ saves, heals delivers and works signs and wonders in our lives. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15). We take the same gospel that Christ has declared and give it to the world. When you hear and believe the gospel, you will receive multiple miracles. The application of the gospel will bring the benefits of the gospel to your life.

G –  GOSPEL OF GRACE

        Ephesians 2:8; Acts 20:24; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8). Grace is the gift of God, and it is not of ourselves, but by that grace we are saved. We are not saved by personal efforts or self punishment but by grace. The suffering you go through by yourself will not save you. Christ saves us by His sacrifice and offering on the cross of Calvary. You are not saved by keeping the law of Moses, the tradition of elders, or following the traditions of a denomination, dressing like churchgoers. The salvation and healing come from the grace of God. The grace of God comes to the guilty, the graceless, the godless, and the Gentiles.

O – GOSPEL OF HIS OFFERING

Ephesians 5:2-6,14; Hebrews 9:14-15,27-28

“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this because he is the mediator of the New Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” (Hebrews 9:14-15,27,28). It is His offering that brings you salvation, total redemption and healing. If you are going to have salvation today, you must accept His offering, not your own offerings, because our offerings cannot save or heal us. The offering that will save and heal us is the offering of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. You come without an offering because He offered Himself for you on the cross of Calvary when He said, “it is finished.” From time immemorial to this time, “it is appointed unto men once to die..” and the way to escape the judgment to come is to accept the offering of Christ. As you accept and believe in the offering of Christ, you will be saved. The gospel of His offering is the gospel of Omnipotence, Omnipresence, Omniscience, and it is the gospel of your obedience.

S – GOSPEL OF SALVATION

        Ephesians 1:13; Titus 2:11-14

When the gospel comes to us, it seeks to accomplish something in our lives by saving us from sin, sicknesses and evil spirits. The gospel seeks to save the whole man – body, soul and spirit. “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise.” (Ephesians 1:13). The gospel declares the way of salvation and shows us how we can be saved. The gospel saves us from sins – salvation cuts off all the branches and fruits of sin, and a deeper work of salvation called sanctification takes away the root of sin. The root of sin produces all the fruits of sin. We must have the root of sin taken away before we can have full salvation. When we have full salvation, animosity, anger, jealousy and carnal comparison will be taken away. Salvation from common, habitual, community, besetting, and the deep root of sin is obtained by the gospel.

P – GOSPEL OF PEACE

        Romans 10:15,1-3,9-10; Ephesians 6:15-17

Our world is torn apart by strife, and strife began after the fall of Adam and Eve. The story of Cain and Abel shows this. Cain brought the fruit of the cursed earth and God would not accept that, but Abel knew that “without the shedding of blood there is no remission”, so he brought the sacrifice of animals, in view of the final sacrifice of the Lamb of God, so God accepted his offering. Cain killed Abel and this type of conflict continues throughout man’s history – Jacob and Esau, David and Saul and to this present time, our education and civilization do not take away the conflict in our world. It is only Christ that can take away the conflict in our lives. “And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” (Romans 10:15). How terrible, ugly and distressing are the feet of them that proclaim their message of conflict and hatred? When the gospel comes to us, it brings salvation that results in peace. There is peace in our hearts that reflects on our faces – strife, conflict and hatred are all taken away. “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14). Religious activities will not make us see God if we don’t follow peace and holiness with all men.

E – GOSPEL FOR EVERYONE

Mark 16:15-20; Luke 9:1-6 Salvation, redemption, forgiveness and eternal life are for as you believe the gospel. The gospel is for everyone in all generations. “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15-20). The gospel is for every sinner and everyone who has gone astray from God. As you receive the gospel, forgiveness, eternal life, the grace of God and the offering of Christ will avail for you. When you receive the gospel, the effect will show in your language and lifestyle.

L – GOSPEL OF LIFE

        2 Timothy 1:10; John 3:16,36

The sentence of death is on every sinner on earth because the wages of sin is death.” It is when you turn to the Saviour and receive the gospel that your name will be written in the Book of Life. The word, gospel, is spelt out in “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). Once you believe and accept the totality of the gospel, the salvation and the peace of God will come to you and reign in your heart.
