THE PRESENT EMANCIPATION THAT DETERMINES ETERNAL DESTINY
MINISTER: PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI
Text: ACTS 13:38-39, 44, 47-48.
We need to understand God’s Plan, Process and Provision of working out to bring about our salvation, elevation and emancipation at our time. You can’t be saved now by following Moses. When you consider the fact that the religion of Moses (The Ten Commandments) came before any other religion, then the religion of Moses is higher than any other religion in the world. And if the religion of Moses cannot save now, no other religion in the world that came after the religion of Moses can save.
The problem of humanity is the problem of the monkey which sees the banana in a jar. While it grips the banana, the mouth of the jar is not wide enough for it to bring out both its hands and the banana. But the monkey stubbornly stays there wanting to hold unto the banana until it dies. And it will eventually die because the hunter will come and meet it there and kill it. There are people who hold on to an idea, an opinion and to the thinking of the law of Moses that it will save them. Not today in this era. But Christ is here, the Lamb of God. He died for you.
POINT 1: Personal Emancipation That Decides Endless Happiness
Luke 15:7, 10, 18-24; Luke 10:20-21; Acts 15:3; Psalm 51:6-12.
You must add action to your intention before you can have the salvation and justification.
POINT 2: Popular Emulations That Destroy Enduring Health.
Psalm 106:35, 39-41; Galatians 5:19-21; Jeremiah 30:15, 17; John 5:14.
The health of the Body, Soul, Spirit, Mind and of our Lives is very important. Man does not not feel that he can do anything by himself, and so he becomes a copycat, emulating the bad things other people do. WHY? They do what is wrong because they emulate the wrong person in life, destroying their enduring health.
Some people don’t know how to differentiate between what is popular and what is profitable. Most things of the world are popular, but they are not profitable.
POINT 3: Promises Embraced Determine Our Everlasting Habitation.
Hebrews 11:13-14; Titus 1:2-3; 1 John 2:25, 28; 1 John 5:11-13.
