GHS 52 : Count Me Lyrics
GHS 52, “Count Me,” is a declaration hymn of personal identification with the people of God. Each stanza names a different group within the Kingdom: those who love the Lord, those who trust His Word, those saved by grace, those who walk in the Gospel light, those pressing forward toward the crown of righteousness. And to every one of those groups, the singer raises the same hand and makes the same request: count me. Put me in that number. Let me be identified with these people and this cause.
The refrain widens the picture to include the servants, the ransomed, and the praisers of the heavenly King. This hymn appears as number 52 in the Gospel Hymns and Songs (GHS) collection, used in Deeper Life Bible Church and related assemblies across West Africa.
Hymn Lyrics – GHS 52: Count Me
- When you count the ones who love the Lord, Count me, count me; When you count up those who trust His Word, Count me, count me.
Count me with the children of the heav’nly King; Count me with the servants who would service bring; Count me with the ransomed who His praises sing; Count me, count me.
-
When you count up those who’re saved by grace, Count me, count me; Who have found in Christ a hiding place, Count me, count me.
-
When you count up those who do the right, Count me, count me; Who are walking in the Gospel light, Count me, count me.
-
When you count up those who forward press, Count me, count me; Who shall gain the crown of righteousness, Count me, count me.
