GREAT SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN THE GREAT SAVIOUR

Hebrews 2:3-4; 7:25-26

Everything God does is great because He is great. Little people do little things, lowlevel people do low-level things but the God of heaven who is greater than the greatest and higher than the highest does big and great things. Jesus, our Saviour, Redeemer and Lord is great and He does great things and He will give you great salvation, great healing and great deliverance. “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?” (Hebrews 2:3-4).

How do we escape the great disease, trauma and great disturbance if we neglect the great Saviour and Deliverer? When the rain falls, everyone who does not run away and hide but stays in the open will be wet by the rainfall. If you do not hide yourself from the rain of God’s blessings, you will be blessed. Salvation is from the Lord and is given to everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord. The moment you believe and accept the gospel, you receive forgiveness and salvation.

1. GREAT FORGIVENESS THROUGH GREAT DEPENDENCE ON THE HIGH PRIEST

Mark 2:3-5.9-12; Luke 19:5-10; Hebrews 7:25-26

“And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.” (Mark 2:3- 5,9-12). One person could not get the man with the palsy to Christ, he had to be carried by four people. As they tried to get through the roof Jesus knew what they were doing but he was not distracted. Jesus knows everything about your condition and your search for His help, He knows where you are but He is not distracted by your pain. As you come to His presence, you will experience His power.

Jesus saw that they had faith – not just their hope, feelings or expectations, or wealth. He saw that they had faith that despite the crowd, they went to the roof and knew that as the man came in Christ’s presence he would be healed. Without crying or shouting, the man got his salvation and miracle. He knew he had come to the presence of the Beloved Son of God who would not say no to any sinner who comes to Him by faith. Jesus called him ‘son’ because He knew the man would be forgiven. The Pharisees and Sadducees wondered why Christ would forgive sins, so Christ proclaimed healing in addition to forgiveness.

Everything that Christ declared happened that same moment. Christ has the power on earth to forgive sins as he couldn’t forgive sins in heaven because there is no sin there. When Jesus speaks, the sea, sickness and everything on earth will hear and obey. Diseases do not dilly-dally when Jesus commands them to leave your body. You may not understand the declaration but the disease understands the decree of Jesus. The miracles of Christ bring amazement to people who see them.

2. GREAT FAITH FOR GREAT DELIVERANCE FROM THE HIGHEST POWER

Matthew 8:5-13; 15:22-28; Mark 5:7-15,18-20

The power of the Lord is greater than your limitation. If your sickness is higher than the solution that is preferred, then the problem remains but when you come to the highest power from above, all your diseases and problems are cleared away in Jesus name. “And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.” (Matthew 8:5-13). The Centurion had authority over 100 soldiers but the sickness was higher than the power the soldiers had he heard about Jesus who was higher than them all. The Centurion didn’t go to other places but he came to the highest power. You should come to the Lord for a solution to your problems.

You must have the confidence that the presence of Christ will bring a solution to your problem. The man had more understanding of the power of Christ than many religious people. He knew that the word of Christ is higher than any other power and that as the soldiers under him could not argue with him or disobey him, so the sickness would not argue with Christ. The word of Jesus will drive out all disease and demons. Neither sickness nor demon argues with Christ. The same word that created the world has not lost its power. As the word comes to you, there will be an immediate manifestation.

3. GRACIOUS FREEDOM AND GREAT DOMINION THROUGH THE HOLY PRINCE

John 8:32-36; Romans 6:18-22; 8:2,26,34,37

You will rule over everything that ruled over you in the past. The kind of dominion God has is what He gives to you. Christ never gives counterfeit dominion; the kind of dominion and deliverance He has that’s what he gives to you. He doesn’t give us fake and substandard freedom but real freedom from God. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). What truth do you know that sets you free? Once you know and believe the truth of God’s word, then you are free. When a goat is tied to a tree, another goat cannot free it, so no man can free another man who is bound, only a higher being can break the yoke. Jesus is the only One that can set fre from the bondage of sin and the yoke of disease. When Christ comes, Satan has to set aside
