INTERRUPTING THE INSIGNIFICANT FOR AN INCREDIBLE INFLUENCE

Ref: PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI

TEXT: ACTS 19:3-6,15.

Before you can become an incredible influence in this world, Christ must interrupt your life. Initially, Saul (before his translation to Paul an apostle), he was an injurious man, but when Christ met him on his way to Damascus, He interrupted his life. he became a mighty man in his time who became Paul the apostle, he was insignificant and he became an incredible influence when Christ interrupted his life.

What are the challenges we see in Paul the apostle before his conversion?

√ He was a chartered villain.

√ He was churlish vagabond. His life means nothing, he didn’t have a work he was doing than to persecute believers, everywhere he went he was a churlish vagabond.

√ He was a charged victimizer. He went about victimizing the believers.

√ He was a chained victim. He was amounted to nothing and God’s interruption came and he became a man of purpose and a man of destiny.

√ He was a changed visioner. God interrupted his life and things turned around completely. God will interrupt vision in your life.

√ He became a chosen vessel. The Lord searches through all the Roman at that time and the Lord chose him as a vessel. The Lord will choose you to do something transforming and something great. You will make a mark in this generation IN Jesus Name Amen.

√ He became a chief victor. He was the chief among conquerors.

POINT 1: THE INSIGNIFICANT WHO BECAME INFLUENTIAL THROUGH CONVERSION.

1 TIMOTHY 1:12-16; ACTS 3:19-23,26; JAMES 5:19-20.

The reason why we chose Paul the apostle as our case of study tonight in our message is because he himself said, the father chose him as a model so that he will become a pattern in your life. Paul the apostle never thought be can become an influential, but thank God he became an influential through conversion. If you have that experience of conversion, whatever you never thought you could achieve, you will achieve. You will go to the new direction. Whatever you never thought of, you will become. Heaven is bringing your way new achievement; God will interrupt your life and turn your life around. You can and you must, it will happen to you like it happened to Paul the apostle and then Paul the apostle said, I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; (1 Timothy 1:12). What will bring miracle in your life will happen and you also will say I thank God. Christ is able and He will turn your life around. All your bad life you have lived will become past tense, and every tears you ever shed will become past tense, every regret you ever had will become past tense, present tense will come, present joy will come, present happiness is coming, present intelligence is coming to you. Something good will replace all those bad things, everything that would have damaged your life, all that He will bundle together and put them in past tense. You have a glorious present and your future is higher than your present and your future is as bigger than your present. The past all forgiven and forgotten and now the present goal has come, this year will be the beginning of something bigger, of something higher in your life. Before Christ interrupted the life of Paul the apostle, all he wanted to do is to put pressure on people who are living higher and his aim was bringing higher people down. He injured their lives, he injured their faith, he injured all the people but he thank the Lord because all that injury in people’s lives became something of the past, everything he sow the Lord uprooted. It’s that interruption that will make you climb higher. Paul lived by grace and it’s your turn to live by grace.

POINT 2: THE INTERRUPTION THAT BROUGHT INCURABLES THEIR CURE.

JOHN 5:5-9; LUKE 13:11-13; 7:12-16.

If you are sick over there, divine intervention that will clear that disease will happen in your life. Some people have done everything they could do but it appears their helpers abandon them.

And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.  When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another stepped down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. (John 5:5-9). The Lord interrupted his life and he was made whole. The Lord will interrupt you with a miracle tonight. Many do not like interruption, if they are gambling away their lives or doing something that will not yield any good result, they don’t like interruption, but God is so kind and good, even though you don’t like interruption, He knew that something better will not come and He will come and interrupt your life tonight. When He speaks go and succeed, you will go and succeed. When you start doing what you could not do all these years, it becomes strange to you, but today conversion, a change of life is coming to you. You will be strange to yourself when you see yourself doing what you couldn’t do 38 years, Jesus will back you up and you will walk, you will not fall, you will move on, you will not faint, what looks impossible will become possible in your life. Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.

There was another woman, she was 18years binds by the devil and then JESUS interrupted her, the interruption of Jesus Christ brings good things into her life like it’ll happen in your life tonight.

POINT 3: THE INVITATION TO BLOT OUT YOUR INIQUITY AND CRIME COMPLETELY.

ACTS 3:19; PSALMS 51:1-10; ISAIAH 1:18-19.

The Lord never accused anyone of anything. The Lord is not an accuser but Satan is the accuser. Your conscience will drive you to Christ and Christ will blot your sin out. Christ is inviting you tonight, He says He wants to beautify your life, He will do it and don’t say you are not a Christian, someone high up there made you and He wants you to be perfect, this is not religion but this is the Almighty God saying He want to make you a hero in this life. All the things you couldn’t do before, now you can, when you honour the invitation the Lord Himself is giving you and you repent, He will do it for you. Repentance means you change your mind, your thought of evil is changed, if you thought by yourself, you could make it, you cannot. Change your mind, if you thought sin is sweet, now that you are converted sin is bitter, change your attitude, change your thoughts, turn around 180 degrees, then you go opposite direction and new life will come to you. The Lord will take your life and remould it, and that useless life will become useful life. If you’re just going like a blind man and you couldn’t see the future, you will see far tonight, the Lord has an eraser in heaven and He will come and erase bad things in your life and you will become new. New life coming to you, He will entirely blot out your sin, He will refresh your life, He will give you restoration, redemption and every blessed thing connected with Salvation. As the invitation is coming to you tonight, you will accept that invitation and you will not reject it. Christ calls everyone to turn around and as you come to the Lord, you will turn around and you will come to Christ and then you will put yourself completely in the hands of God.
