Children Daily Devotional Guide

TEXT: GENESIS 25:21-24

📖Key Verse: “And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived”(Genesis 25:21).

Isaac got married when he was forty years and his wife’s name was Rebekah. They had no child until about twenty years later. Because of Rebekah’s childlessness, Isaac prayed to God for his wife. When challenges come or a member of your family has a problem, pray for them just as Isaac prayed for his wife and God will answer. God did more for Isaac and his wife than they expected. Rebekah gave birth to two babies same day. They named them Esau and Jacob. More than that, God made Esau and Jacob grow to become great. Let us wait on the Lord patiently for our needs. You may feel uncomfortable about the delay, or what you see or hear may seem to make you feel that things may not get better. The wise thing to do is to keep praying and waiting on the Lord. The best will surely come from Him. Wait on the Lord.
