Loose Him and Let Him Go

Championship at every Level Made Easy – Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

Text: 1 Chronicles 11:9; Esther 9:4.

“So David waxed greater and greater: for the LORD of hosts was with him.” (1 Chronicles 11:9). David waxed greater and greater because he had the Lord of hosts who controls all things with him in private and in public. When you have the Lord of Host with you every time, everywhere, and in every situation, you will become unstoppable. “For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.” (Esther 9:4). Mordecai became great even though he went through paths that no one would have thought he could go greater and greater; whatever your history and past have been, with the mark of heaven on your forehead, you will become greater and greater, stronger, and stronger, higher, and higher, and better and better in Jesus Name.

1.  THE PATH ALREADY MARKED FOR GOOD CHAMPIONSHIP

1 Chronicles 11:9; Psalm 18:35.

“Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.” (Psalms  18:35).  As David summarised everything that came from heaven to his life, he gave glory to God for the shield of His salvation. David acknowledged that God corrected him, instructed him, led him, inspired him, and went with him in His gentleness. These are the steps that God took David through in his journey to the championship:

  • Personal Salvation Psalm 51:1-12. You need personal salvation, not family salvation, denominational salvation, or tribal You need the shield of salvation to shield you from Satan, sin, satanic attack, sickness, suffering, and sorrow. David got this personal salvation by confessing his sins and asking for forgiveness from the Lord. You need to have this personal salvation so that as you are moving on, salvation will be a shield for you when all the vicissitudes and challenges of life try to stop you.

  • Profitable Studies Psalm 144:1, 11-15. Just as the Lord has designed the world such that the farmer cannot reap unless he sows, He has given us a brain and books, and until we form a connection between them, we cannot succeed. You have a good brain, and your brain will not decrease in worth and in value in Jesus Name. You must bring a good connection between your brain and the books relevant to your course in a profitable

  • Planned Success Psalm 1:1-3. There are many roads in life, but for you to get to your destination, you must plan You might be at top speed on the wrong road, but all that energy at top speed will get you to the wrong destination because you did

not have a plan. You must plan what you want to become in life, the subjects you need to lead you there, where you want to be in life, the connections that will get you there, what you should focus on in life, and the vision that will get you there. “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not  wither;  and  whatsoever  he  doeth shall prosper. (Psalms 1:3). A person who has a planned and purposeful life is like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bears timely fruits and prospers in whatever he does.

  • Prevented Setbacks Psalm 37:3-11. There will be setbacks in life, but you must plan to prevent If you want to go only one step a day, but you know there might be a step back, you should deliberately go two steps forward so that if the one step backwards comes, you will still have the gain of one step. Like the Sower who sowed on different grounds, if you discover that the seeds sowed on the stony ground, the wayside, and the thorny grounds are not yielding as much as you want, you should withdraw your efforts from the unprofitable grounds and focus on sowing on the good ground. As you review your actions, it is time to quit all the things you do that do not contribute positively to your destination.

  • Proper Speech Psalm 39:1, 4. Mind your words and make sure you have proper speech in life. Always think before you talk; meditate on what the results of your words would be before you utter

  • Purposeful Steadfastness Psalm 119:30-33. Steadfastness means that even if you fail, you fail forward. God has created you and appointed you for purposeful steadfastness; if you go the wrong way, come back, and go the right way and you will be a candidate for

  • Productive Service Psalm 110:6. We are made to   Trees  serve  to  purify the air we breathe in, and beasts of burden served as a means of transportation before the advent of modern vehicles because everything has a purpose. The reason you want to succeed should be because you want to serve the nation better and serve the people of God better. It is your productive service that highlights your life and brings you to the limelight. As a productive child of God, you will render service in your community, in your school, in your place of work, and everywhere you go, and as your service is productive, you will be promoted, and you will go higher in Jesus Name. This is the path that leads to a good championship.

2.   THE PERSEVERANCE WHILE MOVING TOWARDS GREAT CHAMPIONSHIP

Esther 9:4; 10:3.

God has given us the muscles, nerves, and mind to develop, and it is what we have within that will make us stronger to make us get to the place of championship. All the challenges that come our way come to strengthen our nerves, muscles, and shoulders to carry the heavy load. The challenges and difficulties that come our way help us to become what we ought to be. Any time you have a challenge that seems too heavy for you to carry, don’t pray for God to take the challenge away but pray that the Lord will strengthen your backbone to carry it until you succeed. “For Mordecai was great in the king’s house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man  Mordecai  waxed  greater  and  greater.”  (Esther  9:4).  We  are  learning  from Mordecai because God has written about him because the things written are for our learning, and so that we can climb on the shoulders of the champions that went before us, climb on their shoulders to see what they did and how they did it, and then we will be able to do the same things. “For Mordecai the Jew was next unto king Ahasuerus, and great among the Jews, and accepted of the multitude of his brethren, seeking the wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.” (Esther 10:3). Mordecai became great and became useful to himself, his nuclear family, and to the whole nation of Israel. This is what the Lord wants to make of us. These are the steps that Mordecai followed, and He became the champion of his day, as you follow them, you will also become the champion of your day:

  • The Conviction of a Future Champion Esther 3:3-6. Mordecai maintained his conviction in refusing to bow to the pressure around him. Anyone who knows that they have to climb the mountain and get to the top to reach their destiny always has

  • The Confidence of  a  Firm  Champion  Esther 4:1,14-16. Crying is not an issue if you can still see your future championship through the tears, sorrows, and Don’t let your tears wipe away your confidence and trust in God.

  • The Conspiracy of a Furious Falling Champion Esther 5:9-14. Haman had been a champion of the king, but he fell when he conspired against Mordecai. There are no gallows strong enough to hang you because you are the future champion. All the conspirators and their conspiracies and scattered in Jesus Although Mordecai did not have long legs, He had contact in heaven and the conspiracies of Haman failed over his life; heaven will be your contact.

  • The Compensation for a Faithful Champion Esther 6:2-13. As King Ahasuerus did, you should spend your sleepless nights reading profitable things and doing something remarkable that will lead you to the future championship. There is no accident or coincidence in the life of a As the king did not allow Haman to

talk first, He will not allow your enemy to talk first, but God will speak for you Himself. Your compensation is coming, and the good things you’ve done in the past will come to remembrance.

  • The Condemnation of a Former, Fallen Champion Esther 7:9-10. Our condemnation is taken away while we trust in Christ, but Haman did not trust in God, so he was

  • The Companionship with a Favoured Champion Esther 8:2,17. You should endeavour to be a companion to those that God has already As you see the power of God being demonstrated by Pastor (Dr) W.F. Kumuyi, you follow him, grow, and glow as he does. As you go nearer to see what he does and how he does it, you will climb on his shoulders spiritually and see farther than he has seen in Jesus Name.

  • The Confirmation of the Foremost Champion Esther 9:4; 10:3. Mordecai became greater and greater, higher, and higher, stronger, and stronger, better, and better; since Mordecai is gone, it will happen to you I accept, I believe, I confess, it is mine. The Lord of heaven will confirm it in your life in Jesus Name.

3. THE PATTERN AND MODEL OF GLOWING CHAMPIONSHIP

Romans 8:37; Philippians 4:13.

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (Romans 8:37). God loves you. The promises of God are the expression of the love of God for you. God loves me. He will show that love to you in a practical way and you will get to where God has ordained you will get to. No one will stop you in Jesus Name. God has given us the following people as models and patterns of championship:

C – Caleb’s Positive Confession Numbers 13:30. In self-talk, your mind will lean towards what you always tell yourself in your mind. Have a positive confession like Caleb did.

H – Hannah’s Prayerful Consecration 1 Samuel 1:11. Let your consecration go beyond your private self but bring to God a prayerful consecration.

A – Abraham’s Prompt Commitment –  Genesis  22:3,18.  As  Abraham  gave  Isaac  to God to become a father of many nations, the Lord multiplies the seed you sow in consecration to Him.

  • – Moses’ Prudent Consideration Hebrews 11:24-27. As Moses gave  up  his esteemed position in Egypt and accepted the call of God in his life, accept the call of God in your life because He is planning something unprecedented for your As you do, the blessings you never thought of or dreamt of will come upon your life in Jesus

Name. The one thing you give up for the glory of God will be multiplied for the blessedness of effectiveness in your life in Jesus Name.

P – Peter’s Penitential Conscience Matthew 26:69-75. As the Lord forgave Peter and turned his life around when he had a penitent conscience, He will do the same to you today in Jesus Name. You are forgiven, and the Lord will wipe away all the guilt, shame, and condemnation from your life in Jesus Name.

I – Isaac’s Persevering Cultivation Genesis 26:12-22. Isaac persevered and dug more wells as the people filled up the ones he dug with sand, and God gave him a hundredfold for what he cultivated. As you persevere, your zero life has passed away and you are now a hero from today. When you become a hero, all the zeros of your life are forgotten and from this day, all the zeros of your past life are forgotten in Jesus Name.

O – Obadiah’s Practical Courage 1 Kings 18:3-4. Obadiah demonstrated practical courage in hiding one hundred prophets when Ahab and  Jezebel  were  persecuting them. Champions in life must have practical courage when it appears everything  is down; they rise up and manifest courage.

  • – Nehemiah’s Purposeful Consistency Nehemiah 6:2-9. You must be able to endure ridicule and name-calling if you want to be a You must be consistent and remain consistent to become a champion.

S – Samuel’s Pure Character/Conduct 1 Samuel 12:2-5. Samuel was living in the midst of corruption, but He made up his mind to be different. When you live like Samuel who had pure conduct and character, you are on your way to being a champion.

H – Hezekiah’s Personal Confidence 2 Kings 20:1-6. Sickness comes to almost everyone; when it comes to a person without vision or purpose in life, it grounds and crushes them, but when sickness comes to someone with vision heading for the place of championship, he will say no to sickness. Sickness has ears, and when you say no to sickness, it will leave you alone and God will give you extra strength, extra health, and extra years in Jesus Name.

I – Isaiah’s Penetrating Conviction Isaiah 6:1-8. You are for signs and wonders in this land in Jesus Name; good things will be written and said about you, and signs and wonders will follow your life in Jesus Name.

P – Paul’s Persuasive Conscientiousness 2 Corinthians 5:9-11. Conscientiousness means putting all your mind, heart, and life into whatever you do. From today, you will have conscientiousness, you will be persuasive, and you will become a pioneer leading other people to great success in Jesus Name.

You are made and established for a championship, and the Lord will take you from level zero to level hero in Jesus Name. All the things you found difficult and impossible before are now easy and possible for you in Jesus Name.
