GHS 73 : Jesus Only Is Our Message Lyrics
GHS 73, “Jesus Only Is Our Message,” is a comprehensive Christological hymn that works through five distinct dimensions of what Jesus is to the believer and to the Church. He is the message and the theme. He is the Saviour who bore guilt and gives righteousness. He is the Sanctifier who cleanses from self and sin. He is the Healer who bore sickness and shares His risen life. He is the Power who gave the gift of Pentecost. And He is the coming King for whom the Church is waiting. The refrain distils all of this into a single declaration: Jesus all in all.
This hymn appears as number 73 in the Gospel Hymns and Songs (GHS) collection, used in Deeper Life Bible Church and related assemblies across West Africa, where the fullness of Christ as Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer, and coming King is a central doctrinal and experiential focus.
Hymn Lyrics – GHS 73: Jesus Only Is Our Message
- Jesus only is our Message, Jesus all our theme shall be, We will lift up Jesus ever, Jesus only will we see.
Jesus only, Jesus ever, Jesus all in all we sing; Christ our Saviour, Sanctifier, Healer, Baptizer and coming King.
-
Jesus only is our Saviour, All our guilt He bore away, All our righteousness He gives us, All our strength from day to day.
-
Jesus is our Sanctifier, Cleansing us from self and sin, And with all His Spirit’s fulness, Filling all our hearts within.
-
Jesus only is our Healer, All our sicknesses He bare, And His risen life and fulness, All His members still may share.
-
Jesus only is our Power, His the gift of Pentecost, Jesus, breathe Thy Power upon us, Fill us with the Holy Ghost.
-
And for Jesus we are waiting, Listening for the trumpet’s sound, Then it will be us and Jesus, Living ever with our God.
