THE TRANSFORMING FAITH IN THE PARDONING, POWERFUL CHRIST
Hebrews 11:28-31
Faith brings salvation, healing, deliverance, victory, holiness, provision and heaven at last. Once you have faith, your salvation is sure, healing is guaranteed, your deliverance will be immediate, your victory will be registered in heaven, your holiness will be evident and practical, your provision will not be diminished, and there will be heaven at last. “Through faith, he kept the Passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days. By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.” (Hebrews 11:28-31).
F – FREEDOM THROUGH THE PASSOVER
Exodus 12:11-13; 1 Corinthians 5:7-8; Romans 6:6,18,22
“And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord’s Passover.” (Exodus 12:11). The Passover was the Lord’s Passover, not Moses’ or Aaron’s Passover. As God passed through Egypt (and the world), He said He would smite the land because of the idols of Egypt. If an Israelite had or kept the gods of Egypt in his house, he would not be saved because God came to judge the idols of Egypt. As we expect freedom through the Passover, we clear all the idols of the world from our lives. There are people who that say whatever we do, God does not see, He only sees the blood and He does not see the sin we commit.
These people do not read the whole scripture, God had commanded everyone to take away all leaven from their houses. They had cleared the leaven, symbolic of sin and evil, they did not have any interaction with leaven, and on the basis that the leaven is gone and the blood of the lamb is applied, so “when I see the blood, I will pass over you.” “Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (1 Corinthians 5:6-8). If you leave the leaven there and say you have the blood, your glorying is not good. Before the blood of the lamb will be efficacious in your life and grant you full salvation, you must purge out the old leaven. You turn away from your sin, idols and what makes God angry, then the blood of the Lamb will avail for you. There are people who attend crusades and hear about Jesus as Lord and Saviour, but the preachers don’t tell them about repentance. We must take away the leaven of malice and wickedness before the blood of the Lamb avails for us. Freedom comes through the Passover because Christ Jesus died on the cross of Calvary to take away your sins and you must repent and empty yourself of your wickedness, then salvation will come.
A – ACCEPTANCE OF THE PROMISES
Acts 27:25; Romans 4:16-20,25; Acts 16:30-34
God is faithful to His word. We have faith in God because He is faithful to His word. What He says He will do, He will do. The faithfulness of God does not depend on our feelings. Your faith is not dependent on how you feel or whatever other people say. Your faith is based on the faithfulness of God. “Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.” (Acts 27:25). I believe God that it shall be as it was told me, not how I feel or the stormy situation around. His word says whosoever comes to Christ will not be rejected, whosoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved, He will give rest to all who labour and are heavy laden, I accept! Faith is acceptance of His promises. “And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.” (Acts 16:30-34). When you accept His promises, that is faith, and He cannot fail.
I – IMPLEMENTATION OF HIS PRECEPT
Hebrews 11:30; John 2:5,11; 11:39-44
He gives the promise, and He gives the precepts, and He says, do this and you will be alright. “By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.” (Hebrews 11:30). He gave them the precepts to bring down the walls of Jericho. They had no scientific or technological power to bring the walls of Jericho down. They were to walk around the walls of Jericho and shout on the seventh day. They did not question or reason how that would be done, all they had to do was to implement the precepts – that is faith. The wall that technology cannot bring down, faith will bring it down. “His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.” (John 2:5,11). Your miracle is assured as you implement His precepts.
T – TRUST IN HIS POWER
Psalm 62:8,11; Romans 15:12-13,19; Hebrews 2:13-15,17
Faith means you have trust in His power because it is power that will bring you up and lift you up. The faith that God expects from you is trust in His power. “Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.” (Psalm 62:8,11). As you trust Him, the mountain will move away. One of the great times to trust the Lord is during the gospel crusade because the power of God flows in the assembly. Power to save, heal, remove every mountain in your life, touch your brain, remove Satanic forces harassing you, and knock off the hand of the Devil in your life, belongs to God.
H – HEARING WITH PERSONALIZATION
Mark 5:27-29,34; Matthew 14:13-14; Exodus 15:26
It is the personalization of what you hear that brings the salvation and healing. You look at yourself and personalize God’s promises even if you were the only person in the world having the problem. “When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” (Mark 5:27-29,34). The woman personalized what she had heard. Personalize the fact that God heals, delivers and cures the incurable. As you personalize what you are hearing, you will be saved. The woman with the issue of blood personalized what she heard and received her miracle.
